A man who was allegedly found with two forged US$100 notes in his possession was granted bail yesterday when he appeared before Magistrate Nyasha Williams-Hatmin at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.
Fazal Mohamed pleaded not guilty to the charge of possession of forged currency notes.
It is alleged that on November 14, Mohamed without lawful authority or excuse had in his possession two forged US$100 notes, knowing same to be forged.
The prosecution made no objection to Mohamed’s bail application and it was subsequently granted in the sum of $90,000. The magistrate then ordered that Mohamed return to court on January 7 next year.
