Three masked bandits, one of whom was armed with a handgun, confronted a couple at the corner of Cemetery Road and Sussex Street on Sunday night and escaped with a handbag, jewellery and a cell phone.
Up to press time police were still looking for the men.
According to the reports reaching this newspaper, Norbert Lamazon of Albouystown and a female friend were confronted by the men.
Lamazon was gun butted and relived of two gold chains and a cell phone while the men grabbed a handbag containing documents and other items from his companion.
The matter was subsequently reported to the police.
Investigations are continuing.
