Platinum Gullyside Warriors will clash with Unknown Warriors while Klassic Superstars will take on Mighty Rulers today at the Bartica Community Centre Ground in the semi-finals of the Bartica Football Association (BFA) Super Eight football tournament.
The competition, which is being co-ordinated by I. Salam of I-Movement Promotions, commenced on November 19 where guest player Anthony `Awo’ Abrams blasted in a hat-trick to see Platinum Gullyside Warriors to a 4-0 triumph over Pure Diamond Kings.
And Stellon Keith scored a helmet trick and Andrew Murray jnr., a hat-trick as the Mighty Rulers swamped Indigo Mining 10-0.
Keith scored in the 13th, 18th, 30th and 35th minutes while Murray jnr., scored in the 6th, 20th and 37th minutes.
Sherwin John chipped in with a double in the 55th and 66th minutes while Shawn Joseph scored the other goal.
Last Thursday, Platinum Gullyside Warriors defeated Klassic Superstars 6-2.
Abrams scored a double in the 12th and 36th minutes while Elton Browne also scored two goals in the 82nd and 87th minutes.
The other goal scorers were Kurt Welcome in the 23rd and Ian Gomes in the second minute.
In other results, Unknown Warriors defeated I- Movement Eagles 1-0; I-Movement Eagles edged Indigo Mining 1-0; Unknown Warriors defeated Mighty Rulers 4-2; Klassic Superstars and Pure Diamond Kings played to a draw; Mighty Rulers defeated I- Movement Eagles 3-1; and Unknown Warriors defeated Indigo Mining 1-0.
The winning team will receive $500,000 which was donated by Platinum Hotel and Service Station of Bartica.
They will also receive a trophy donated by Freddy and Raffee Butchery also of Bartica while the runner-up team will receive the Dino’s Investment trophy.
