The People’s National Congress Reform (PNCR) will hold its fourth and final general council for the year tomorrow and will touch on a series of “pressing” issues.
Speakers will include opposition leader, Robert Corbin; Chairman of the party, Winston Murray and General Secretary, Oscar Clarke among others.
At its weekly press briefing yesterday, the party said, that the council is taking place against the background of the deepening economic crisis in the country, rampant criminality, the crumbling of the physical infrastructure, and the inability of the Jagdeo Administration to define a purpose and a vision to propel the society.
“It is, therefore, expected that these and other issues will be analysed by the General Council and generate responses, including recommendations, from the participants”, a party statement read.
Representatives from the various regions are expected to attend the council, which is the highest forum of the party between congresses.
