In its message to mark Eid-ul-Adha, the People’s Progres-sive Party (PPP) says Guya-nese must be prepared to make a sacrifice to work hard to develop the country.
The party noted that the observance was coming at a time when a serious economic crisis had gripped the world.
“We in Guyana are also feeling the effects of many of the changes in the world. Prices for some of the commodities that we export are being hit very hard”, the PPP said.
The party added that it has “deep faith in the strength and ingenuity of the Guyanese people. We are confident that together we will overcome all difficulties and grow even stronger”.
