Dear Editor,
As the Berbice River Bridge comes to a close, work proceeds to rehabilitate the Demerara Harbour Bridge for it to function for at least another 10 years, and the Takutu Bridge nears completion it would be fitting for the international bridge, ie the Ogle airport, to become fully functional as soon as possible. What goodwill the current government would benefit from in 2009 if it could get all its projects completed as soon as possible. The private owners of Ogle need to play their part as well as the government for this to happen. Self interest and national interest need to differentiated so progress is not held up.
