Strykers of No. 78 Village destroyed Crabwood Creek’s Young Royals by a massive 198 runs in the New Building Society Challenge second division limited overs competition in Berbice.
Strykers took first strike and amassed 274-6 in their allotted 40 overs with Calvin Cort’s splendid innings of 107 which included nine fours and four sixes leading the way.
Strykers’ Eric Jamisay then stepped up to the plate to grab 7- 25 as YR crumbled to 76 all out.
And, Overwinning Bible Club, set a winning target of 220 for Police who fell short although former Berbice batsman Richard Semple contributed an unbeaten 88 which was laced with eleven fours.
Sand Reef defeated Chesney by three wickets after bowling them out for 202 in 39.4 overs. Sand Reef then rose to the occasion reaching 204 – 7 in 38.5 overs.
At Kortheberaadt, Flying Star got off to a flier ending up with 239.
They then bowled Tucker Park out for 123 runs in 25.3 overs defeating them by a 116-run margin.
Kendell’s Union were dismantled by Fyrish who posted 207 in 35 overs and then dismissed their opponents for 92 in 22.5 overs.
Letter Kenny Young Stars darkened UG-Tain Campus by 176 runs. Getting to 276 in 39 overs, LYS placed the right amount of pressure on UG who crumbled for 100 all out in 26 overs.
Vikings vanquished Fighting Marines by six wickets after successfully reaching the 134-run target set by FM in 32.3 overs.
Over at Lovely Lass, Hopetown gained a 69-run victory over Achievers while Rainbow Generation overcame home team Bush Lot by 32 runs.
In other results, the Young and Restless team were settled by Rose Hall Community by a six-wicket defeat and Survival trounced No.45 by nine wickets.
