The Guyana Bank for Trade and Industry (GBTI) last week made donations to six charitable organisations in its annual programme to assist them in providing for the needy.
In a press release Officer-in-Charge of Human Resources and Administra-tion Colette Lyken lauded the groups for their commitment to helping those in need. Meanwhile, in his remarks Director- Credit John Tracey noted the growing need for assistance from these organisations from people worldwide. He urged persons to give freely at this time to help the groups to conduct their mandate.
The recipients were the Uncle Eddie’s Home, the Dharm Shala Benevolent Home for the Poor, the Dharmic Rama Krishna Primary School, the David Rose School for the Handicapped, the Central Islamic Organisation of Guyana and the Guyana Red Cross Society. In giving the vote of thanks a representative of the Dharmic school, Narpattie Singh said the groups were greatly motivated by the bank’s generosity.
Additionally, the Bank awarded winners in its Annual Prime Life Club Prize giveaway. The Bank said Manager – Advances, Terry Gopaul handed out prizes to Leon L Davis, Mr and Mrs Budhayshwar and Takoordaideen Raghunath; account holders at the Anna Regina branch.
