Kei-Shar’s Gift Shoppe recently presented 108 pupils of the Sophia Primary School with gift certificates worth $1,500 each for Christmas. In a press release the shop said this is the fourth time it has made such a contribution to the school. The name of each student from grades one to six has been inscribed on the certificate which will allow them to choose toys from the store’s Regent Street branch. Parents are advised to take along the student’s birth certificate to uplift the toys.
Kei-Shar’s said this venture is valued at more than $160,000. The store also provides uniforms and shoes for the students at the start of the school year and over the last five years it has hosted a daily feeding programme at the school. This costs the store about $5M annually.
