Dear Editor,
During my visit to Guyana in the last ten days of November 2008, I enjoyed the beauty of the country, developments, etc. The last visit was six years ago, when children were begging during school hours. (The government did a good job stopping it, but not completely; some of them are still at Rosignol Market.)
I took some photos of garbage dumps at Rosignol Market, Rose Hall Town and No 7 Village beach area, West Coast Berbice. Everyone must do their part to keep garbage off the sides of the streets and on the beaches. Today’s newspapers show how Guyanese are taking care of Guyana (not well), despite the fact there is a law against littering.
Yours faithfully,
Alvin Kalli
