US Embassy gives Habitat US$33,000 in building stocks

US Ambassador John Jones recently handed over US$33,000 worth of building materials to Habitat for Humanity.

According to a press release, Habitat Chairman Alex Graham received the items at the US Embassy warehouse on Friday. The items include plumbing, electrical and construction materials that remained from the USS Kearsarge’s humanitarian mission to Guyana.

In extending his gratitude, Graham said the donation was timely and will help Habitat to fulfil its mandate.

The release said US Embassy Public Affairs Officer Rolf Olson and Habitat’s National Director Roger Rogers also attended the ceremony.
