The Ministry of Local Government on Friday received two ambulances to boost emergency services in regions two and eight.
According to a Government Information Agency (GINA) press release Minister within the Ministry of Health, Dr Bheri Ramsaran handed over the vehicles worth a total of $35M to the ministry. He said one will provide back-up services at the Suddie hospital and the other at Mahdia. Ramsaran said too other regional diagnostic centres will soon benefit from this service.
The minister said with support from the Guyana Police Force sessions will be conducted with the drivers to inform them of their responsibilities to the patients and health workers being transported.
