Jamaican artistes Capleton and Queen Ifrica yesterday assured Guyanese fans that they will be here for the Purification Concert, billed for January 3 at the National Park.
At a press conference yesterday at Zoom Inn, the artistes spoke to the media via live telephone link up. Capleton stated that his lyrics will be purely uplifting and non-violent and that persons should come out expecting an energetic and exciting performance from him.
According to Queen Ifrica, “I will be live and direct Saturday night in Guyana”. She urged all to “come out and have a wonderful time”, promising an extraordinary evening, that allows for, as she states, “self development and self awareness”. She added that the entire concert will be about “positive vibes.”
Coordinator Rawle Da Silva noted that “all sorts of trials and tribulations affected us Guyanese in the past year” and “the concert is one which seeks to start Guyana off on the right foot as its aim is to purify through positive lyrics.”
Guyana’s very own Natural Black is also expected to be performing at the concert along with First Born.
Tickets are being sold at $2,000 in advance, $2,500 at the gate and $7,000 for the VIP section.
