A taxi driver was robbed of his car at knife-point by two men who hired him on Saturday at Bel Air.
Orin Brooks of Prospect, East Bank Demerara was stopped by two men, who he thought wanted to hire him, at approximately 10.10 pm. According to a police press release, investigations revealed that on entering the vehicle the men held Brooks up, shoved him out of the vehicle and escaped with his white Toyota Carina AT 192, PJJ 5288.
The culprits also escaped with $9,000. Investigations, the police said, are continuing.
