Caribbean Airlines yesterday announced the appointment of a new Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications who will be responsible for its advertising customer relations and loyalty programmes.
Laura Asbjornsen, a Trinidadian national took up her post yesterday, a statement issued by the airline said.
Asbjornsen joins the airline with extensive experience in communications, journalism and public affairs. She spent the last eight years in Brussels as an industrial lobbyist and policy advisor. Her last place of employ was at the European Roundtable of Industrialists (ERT) as Working Group Manager where she developed industrial advocacy strategy and advised senior industry executives of major European companies on various issues including business competitiveness and climate change, the release added.
The airline said too that its new appointee was also responsible for the implementation of advocacy and media relations strategies and also conducted risk assessments as a European Regulatory Affairs consultant and communications specialist for the Weinburg Group.
