A man, who allegedly stole over $200,000 from a woman, was remanded to prison yesterday when he appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.
Compton Barclay pleaded not guilty to the charge of simple larceny.
It is alleged that on December 28, at D’Urban Street, Barclay stole two gold chains, two gold rings, two gold bracelets and a cell phone totalling $256,000 from Ann Hendricks.
The magistrate subsequently ordered that Barclay be remanded to prison and ordered that he return to court on January 23.
