The Women’s Progressive Organisation (WPO) says citizens need to work hard at the individual and family levels to face the challenges of this New Year.
According to a press release the group urged the nation to work harder within their homes and at the individual level, to improve their families’ welfare and lessen the impact of the global economic recession. It said too 2008 was particularly challenging and it is anticipated that the country will continue to feel the impact of the economic crisis, coupled with the adverse problems associated with climate change.
The WPO also called on men and women to resolve their personal problems in a manner that can enhance family relationships and to reject violence as a means of solving problems.
It also encourages them to improve their skills.
It said too that persons should resolve to treat the environment with greater care in order to keep the country clean.
