Dear Editor,
Although gas prices continue to decrease, and there has been an announced fare reduction by the Minister of Commerce, Mr Manniram Prashad on November 15, most mini-buses continue to overcharge their passengers.
Every time there is an increase in gas prices the mini-bus associations quickly demand an increase in fares and without hesitation it’s easily granted, but when it comes to a reduction they are very reluctant about it. The associations have proven themselves to be selfish and unreasonable. Passengers should acquaint themselves with the reduced fare so they won’t be overcharged.
Yours faithfully,
Latecia Bowman
