Fogarty’s on Wednesday held its final presentation for the annual U-turn to win contest and the top winner, Barbara Rose was presented with her $1,000,000 Platinum card. In photo, Rose left receives her cheque from Executive Director Vibert Parvatan. Broadcaster Ron Robinson is also in the photo.
The Guyana Responsible Parenthood Association won the $750,000 gold card, the $500,000 silver card went to Beverly Critchlow while the $250,000 bronze card went to Waheeda Rohoman. Twenty-two others received various prizes.
In his remarks, Parvatan said that the first drawing in December, 2008 had seen 28 winners receiving prizes totalling $2M. At Wednesday’s drawing 26 winners received prizes totalling
$4M. Pavatan said that the contest received 92,000 entries and declared it a success.
