Arrest warrants have been issued for five persons by Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton at the Wales Magistrate’s Court.
Kevon Paul, Shamkumar Hariprashad, Michelle Peters, Avindra Ramnarine and Newfrieta Phillips all have warrants out for them for failing to appear in court to answer various charges, according to a press release.
An arrest warrant was issued on January 8, 2009 for eighteen-year-old Kevon Paul of Stanleytown, WBD. He has been charged with break and enter and larceny, and indecent assault committed at La Grange, West Bank Demerara, on January 30, 2007.
According to the release also, arrest warrants were issued for Hariprashad, Peters, Ramnarine and Phillips on January 15, 2009.
Hariprashad of 12 South Section, Canal No. 2, WBD has been charged with dangerous driving committed on September 29, 2006, at New Angelet Public Road, Canal No. 2. Peters who resides at 106 Bagotville, WBD, has been charged with wounding committed on Carlotta Richards on July 1, 2008.
Ramnarine and Phillips are both charged with assault causing actual bodily harm. Ramnarine who lives at Sisters Village, WBD, allegedly committed the offence on Rajram Hussain on October 11, 2006, at Patentia Village, WBD.
Phillips of 147 Bagotville Public Road, WBD, was charged with committing the offence on Petal Morris at Bagotville on February 26, 2008.
The release further stated that anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of the five can contact the police on telephone numbers 225-6411, 225-7625, 268-2343, 268-2298, 268-2222, 268-2399, 911 or the nearest police station.
