Middle-order batsman Assad Fudadin has been drafted into the Guyana team for their match against the Leewards Islands this weekend a Guyana Cricket Board release stated yesterday.
According to the release Fudadin replaces Sewnarine Chattergoon for Guyana’s third match of this year’s West Indies Cricket Board sponsored four-day regional competition.
The match will take place in Nevis from Friday to Monday.
Chattergoon himself has been drafted into the West Indies `A’ team which will oppose the touring England cricketers in a three-day match starting Thursday at Warner Park, Basseterre, St. Kitts.
Chatttergoon comes in for Darren Bravo who will be out of action for three weeks after suffering an injury to his finger on Sunday in the match between Trinidad and the Windward Islands.
The 13-man Guyana squad for the game will now read: Travis Dowlin, Shemroy Barrington, Narsingh Deonarine, Royston Crandon, Assad Fudadin, Steven Jacobs, Christopher Barnwell, Darwin Christian, Esaun Crandon, Trevon Garraway, Homchand Pooran, Veerasammy Permaul and Devendra Bishoo.
