Guyana Telephone & Telegraph company (GT&T) customers have begun receiving text messages asking them not to drink and drive as the company joins the Ministry of Home Affairs drunk driving campaign.
A release from Guyenterprise said that GT&T has taken the initiative and is providing its support to the campaign as one of the first companies and they would be sending text messages to their customers “urging them not to drink and drive and to always have a designated driver with them.”
The release said the drunk-driving campaign has picked up steam via a series of television and radio advertisements, widespread poster distribution as well as a three-part television series which was aired on NCN Channel 11 recently and will be rebroadcast on other television stations around the country.
