Dear Editor,
Thank you, blogger Macushi Piyasang, for suggesting that I write a book.
Whenever I recall and relate to my husband an interesting incident which happened 40 or more years ago, either at home or abroad, he more or less says the same thing: “You have a book in you.” I am never sure whether he is being serious or if it is his way of asking me to shut up! I usually laugh it off.
I have always felt that writers of books are disciplined, dedicated, serious people, who prefer to work in seclusion, in peace and quiet and to press on for long per-iods. Concentration is called for. I have a butterfly mind and long periods of silence unsettle me. Even when reading in a room alone, the radio or television set is on, volume at low. However, I am happy to share my thoughts and experiences now and then, hopefully to get some (polite) feedback or initiate a reasoned debate among thinking people.
Yours faithfully,
Geralda Dennison
