The Richard Latiff organized six-overs, seven-a-side tapeball competition which was scheduled to start last Sunday has been pushed forward to March 8 at the National Park Tarmac, Thomas Lands, Georgetown.
The tournament was postponed because of the unavailability of the venue.
According to Latiff, some 38 teams have already entered the competition. He added that the draws have already been made and subsequently released for both zone ‘A’ and zone ‘B’ fixtures.
The top five teams from each zone will advance to the semi-final and final stages which will be held on March 10 (Youman Nabi) with an alternative day on March 11 (Phagwah Day).

The winning team will receive $50,000 and a trophy sponsored by Goldwyn and Sons of Stabroek Market.
The runners-up will collect $20,000 and trophy, courtesy of Raymond/Guru of VB’s Bar while the third-place trophy is donated by Bargain Harry Grocery Store.
The best bowler of the competition will take home a trophy donated by Tiwari’s Drug Store.
The man-of-the-match in the final; the best batsman of the tournament and the highest individual score of the competition will each receive a trophy.
Entrance fee for teams is $4,000. The closing date for payment of fees and registration is February 25.
