Dear Editor,
Humble he may be, but I see President Obama as a strong humanitarian, a sincere chap who believes in the brotherhood of man. In fact, I would not be surprised if he has as his mantra the French Revolution’s slogan ‘Liberty, Equality, Fraternity − or Death.’
He is a charming man, full of energy and anxious to get on with the tasks he has set himself. However, he has to be very careful not to antagonise too many of the people on whom he has to rely to carry out his policies, by constantly ‘over-briefing’ them, verbally, or otherwise. Also, to avoid running the risk of working himself to the point of physical exhaustion before his 48th birthday!
Outgoing President Bush is alleged to have replied, when asked about Mr Obama’s first moments as Commander-in-Chief: “He’ll do the lunch, make the speech, and then he’ll walk into that Oval Office for the first time and the weight of responsibility will hit him.”
As should be expected, the astrologers have been diligently at work for some time now, and the President’s birth certificate has been published on the internet. As a hobbyist astrologer (a graduate of the Mayo School), I find it intriguing to erect and analyse birth charts of prominent people in public life, once accurate birth details are available. The astrologer’s art is based on a framework of astronomy, and involves mathematical calculations, so it is necessary to have precise birth details, to arrive at a valid analysis of a person’s character and trends in the life.
With President Obama, relationships both personal and professional will be, on the whole, rocky and he can expect constant tussles where ‘big money’ is involved. He will have to tread very carefully as he goes about his business − both at home and abroad.
Yours faithfully,
Geralda Dennison
