The Rupununi Room of the Tower Hotel on Main Street will be buzzing with activity on Sunday when the Guyana Amateur Powerlifting Federation (GAPF) holds its Annual General Meeting (AGM) and elections of office bearers.

The AGM is set to get underway from 11:30am  and items listed on the agenda include registration of new members and affiliated gyms for 2009, presentation of awards and the launching of the Federation’s website.

The GAPF is calling on representatives from Linden, Berbice and West Demerara, among others, to make a special effort to attend this meeting.
