Long-serving National Insurance Scheme (NIS) Board Chairman Dr. Roger Luncheon is stepping down from the post.
The move was confirmed yesterday by President Bharrat Jagdeo at a news conference at State House, in response to a question about whether Dr. Luncheon had resigned. Jagdeo said Dr. Luncheon is leaving the Board and had a while ago indicated his desire to leave because of his busy schedule.
Dr. Luncheon has been Chairman of the Board since 1992.
