Tomorrow afternoon the National Cultural Centre will come alive in the name of the Lord as some of the most known local gospel singers will take to the stage to launch the Flights of Hope – Guyana Hinterland Outreach Ministry.
The launch will be between 3 pm and 5 pm and the general public is invited to this free event. However, only the first 1900 will be allowed in since that is the seating capacity of the centre.
Those who are lucky to get in will hear from singers such as Miriam Williams, Edward Neblett, Sean Sobers, Cherlyn Maloney, Solid Youth, Gregory Seetram, Joshua Joe, People’s Praise Group and Kester D.
According to pilot Orlando Charles, who is part of the programme, all the Pentecostal churches in Guyana are part of the programme which will see them servicing all the hinterland areas using aircraft.
While not stating where the organisation would source the aircraft or where the funding will come from, Charles said that they are hoping to do evacuations from those areas and provide much needed supplies to the communities. They will, of course, also be ministering to the residents.
