Members of the public who have to access the services in the Ambulatory Care and Diagnostic Centre Building at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation should now use the East Street entrance to the compound and not the New Market Street entrance which was regularly used.
This new arrangement is to facilitate construction work which will begin in that area today, the hospital said in a press release.
Services located in the Ambulatory Care and Diagnostic Centre building include the Surgical Outpatient Clinic, Medical Outpatient Clinic, Central Medical Laboratory, Intensive Care Unit, High Dependency Unit and the Diabetic Foot Centre, among others.
Persons are also advised that there will be restricted access for vehicles entering the compound during this period.
Vehicles entering the compound to drop off persons are asked to use the first gate from Thomas Street, Georgetown, and only authorized vehicles will be allowed into the compound. However, the access route to the Accident & Emergency Unit remains the same.
The hospital apologized for any inconvenience caused, the release added.
