A miner, who intervened in a scuffle between two men arguing over a pair of jeans, was instead stabbed to death at Black Water Creek, Cuyuni on Friday.
Dead is Dennis Patterson, 37, of Perseverance, Essequibo Coast. Police have detained his alleged killer. In a statement, the lawmen said that the incident occurred at about 11 am on Friday at Black Water Creek.
Investigations, so far, revealed that Patterson intervened in a scuffle between two men who were arguing over a pair of jeans and was fatally stabbed to his chest by one of the men, the police said.
