Doctors at the Georgetown hospital recently benefited from refresher training courses in several areas in a programme conducted with assistance from health personnel from the Emergency Department of the University of Vanderbilt Medical Centre.
Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation CEO Michael Khan said a team of 20 persons from the Medical Centre in Tennessee assisted the hospital in hosting the courses in areas like Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS). According to a Government Information Agency (GINA) press release the sessions started on Friday and ended on Sunday.
