The Consultative Association of Guyanese Industry (CAGI) is hosting a course in negotiations and conflict resolutions for directors and managers aimed at enhancing their skills.
In a press release CAGI said the three-day session, titled Skills in Negotiations, Conflict Management and Dispute Resolution, will be held from February 17-19 at Duke Lodge. It is being held for human resource (HR) directors, managers and officers who participate in negotiations and deal with employment and human resource issues.
The sessions will be facilitated by CAGI Consultant Adviser and former International Labour Organisation Senior Labour Administration Specialist Samuel Jerry Goolsarran. CAGI said the course is being offered in response to the growing need for improved conflict management skills and is expected to contribute to fostering better labour-management relations through consensus-based approaches to labour and employment relations issues.
According to the release several HR practitioners and managers are expected to participate in the course.
