The Kashif and Shanghai Organisation, through Digicel, El Dorado, Carib and Caribbean Airlines, is hosting a Mash Jump Off at the National Park on February 21 featuring soca queen Allison Hinds.
At a press conference on Tuesday Kashif and Shanghai Director Kashif Mohammed said, “Mash Jump Off will have all the elements of a true Caribbean style concert. We want to keep the theme of Mashramani alive and offer Guyanese music that they have come to love…Allison Hinds is definitely a great pick and will definitely set the stage on fire on February 21.”
According to a press release Digicel Head of Marketing Donovan White said the company “is very excited about participating in this concert since it offers a great fusion of Caribbean talents.” El Dorado Brand Manager Maria Munroe said the world-renowned brand was happy to be associated with Hinds. Munroe said El Dorado is also “the taste of the Caribbean so this is quite fitting for our product.”
“The concert provides the ideal opportunity for us to promote local talent,” Carib Beer Brand Manager Nigel Worrell said.
He said the brand is also currently hosting the Carib Soca Monarch competition and is always looking for outstanding talent. Additionally, Caribbean Airlines Sales Executive Kathleen Shuffler Ten Pow said the airline is proud to be the official air carrier of the event.
According to the release X’s 2. Vanilla, Big Red, Shelly G and B52 are also expected to perform. Tickets cost $1,000.
