A man who was allegedly caught having sexual intercourse with a calf was remanded to prison yesterday when he appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.
Twenty-six-year-old Delon Gomes, also called ‘Kabalou’, of Moruca, North West District, pleaded not guilty to the charge of performing an indecent act in a public place.
It is alleged that on February 10 at 111 Miles, Potaro Road, Gomes had sexual intercourse with a calf in public view.
Prosecutor Denise Griffith said that on the day in question, the calf was tied to a tree when Gomes approached it and was soon seen by several individuals having sexual intercourse with the animal. The eyewitnesses reported the incident and Gomes was arrested and charged.
However, Gomes denied what the prosecutor said.
The magistrate subsequently ordered that Gomes be remanded to prison and that he appear again in court on April 22.
