A man snatched over half a million dollars from an Edward B. Beharry sales vehicle on the Corentyne yesterday after two employees left it unattended with the money inside.
The driver/salesman Rohan Jagnandan and porter, Nagar Totaram told police that they went into a supermarket at No.71 Village, Corentyne to conduct business leaving $594,000 in a locked money bag. Shortly after, the porter was reportedly returning to the vehicle when he saw a man removing the money.
Police said in a press release that the man who grabbed the money then fled. The incident occurred around 9:30 am. Investigations are continuing.
