Former Guyana and West Indies youth batsman Richard Ramdeen slammed a magnificent 119 in the final round of the Carib Twenty20 Series last Wednesday in Trinidad.
Ramdeen, playing for Ihsan Invaders, scored 119 with 12 sixes and eights fours off 48 balls to help Invaders beat Caroni Savannah Road by 23 runs at Felicity.
Batting first Invaders scored scored 196 all out in 19.4 overs with Ramdeen getting 119. Caroni Savannah Road in reply reached 173 all out.
At Pierre Road, another Guyanese was lighting up the place, this time Andrew Lyght – the son of former Guyana opening batsman Andrew Lyght. Alescon Comets batting first made 148 for five with Vishal Singh getting 48. Curepe Sports responded with 107 for four with Lyght getting 70 in the losing effort.
Former Guyana and West Indies opener Azeemul Haniff was also in good touch, as he compiled 55 in his team’s win by two runs against Central Sports.
