Dear Editor,
As the years go by we as Guyanese are very proud of celebrating a rich culture − our very own Mashramani − and this year is no exception. Everyone from different cultures, backgrounds, races, etc, who paraded the streets in Georgetown on a bright and sunny day on February 23, 09 could have seen the unity among our people, and this of itself was a beautiful sight.
From the children’s costume parade to the Soca monarch, to the ministry and all the businessmen and the Guyanese public who came out in their thousands, not forgetting the tourists who came to Guyana to witness a spectacular event and who helped to make Mashramani a success this year, I say kudos to you all. Congratulations on hosting a successful Mashramani 2009.
