Guyana will now play their ninth round match in the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) sponsored regional four-day competition against the Combined Campuses and Colleges (CCC) at the famous Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) Bourda ground, instead of the Albion Community Centre ground.
The change in venue for the match which will commence on the 6th March was announced by the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB), following the unavailability of the original venue on the 7th March.
Cricket fans in Berbice should not be despondent as they will be getting some cricket action since the Guyana/Leeward Islands match which was slated to be held at the GCC ground the following weekend (March 13-16) will now be held at the Albion ground.
Guyana who are at the bottom of the points standing on 10 points, suffered contrasting first round losses to both opponents en route to their four consecutive defeats, with the 96 runs defeat against the CCC being the heavier of the two.
