Gunmen attacked six persons who were inside the Cyber Internet Café on Croal Street on Monday night and after discharging a round escaped with cash, cellular phone and jewellery.
They fled the scene in a waiting motor car.
Police said yesterday that they are investigating an armed robbery that occurred around 11.15 pm on Monday during which the operator and five customers were attacked and robbed by three men armed with guns.
Investigations revealed that the three men entered the café and held the victims at gunpoint and took away a total of $450,000 cash, six cell phones and a quantity of jewellery.
They then escaped in a waiting car, the police said.
During the robbery one of the men discharged a round into the floor. A .32 spent shell has since been recovered by the police.
