The Banks DIH and Ministry of Sport sponsored Upper Demerara Football Association (UDFA) First Division league is set to resume from this evening with a double header at the MacKenzie Sports Club ground.
In the opening game from 18:30 hours, Winners Connection will tackle Silver Shatters while in the other game Milerock will come up against Eagles United. Matches will also be played on Sunday and Wednesday and will conclude March 13.
Meanwhile president of the UDFA Brian Joseph informed that the association was awaiting the conclusion of the league to move forward with more football with a focus on the school-age players of the sport in Linden.
On March 17, the association will kick start its inaugural under-17 Edward “Screw” Richmond Memorial Tournament featuring all the secondary schools in Linden with matches being played at the various school grounds.
And during the Annual Linden Town Week celebration, there will be an under-15 and 17 club tournament which will be played at the Bayrock Community Center ground.
