Trinidad Express) – A 33-year-old man who raped and sodomised his 73-year-old mother was caught by police officers around 3 am on Thursday.

The man returned to the house where the incident took place, and police surrounded the house.

The woman was attacked while asleep in her bedroom around 2.45 am last Wednesday.

The woman called out to a neighbour and the police were contacted.

She was taken to the San Fernando General Hospital (SFGH) where she was admitted as a patient.

The suspect appeared before a Princes Town magistrate yesterday charged for the crime.
