President Bharrat Jagdeo has extended joyous greetings to all Guyanese who are celebrating Phagwah or Holi today.  In a statement, the Head of State said that “while Phagwah is a Hindu festival, its spiritual value and appeal are all-embracing.”

He said this is “exemplified by the wide cross-section of Guyanese who participate in the festivities, and by its universal message of love, trust and affection.”
