Two East Coast Demerara (ECD) residents were on Monday charged with trafficking in narcotics following the discovery of 252 kilogrammes of marijuana in a motor car last Friday.
Inderpaul Premnauth, 27, of Clonbrook and Colin Ferreira, 32, of Haslington North appeared before Magis-trate Haymant Ramdhani at the Mahaicony Magistrate’s Court and were remanded to prison until next Tuesday, a police release said.
It further stated that the charges resulted from investigations conducted following the interception of the drugs by the police in a motor vehicle at Mahaica, ECD.
