Dear Editor,
It cannot escape attention how our democratic parliamentary governance has been developing over the years, and this is very encouraging indeed and will further boost the morale of the nation.
It has been established that we can and do live, work, and play together and that the majority of us get along, regardless of the differences of our views.
With the establishment of the parliamentary sectoral committees, and with the working of the Select Committees, which are of course bi-partisan, with chairmen and vice-chairman from both sides of the House, and whose roles are rotated, we see a maturing and meeting of the minds and more instances of agreeing to disagree.
This bodes well for the country and people and the enhancement of peace and harmony and more opportunities for the development and prosperity of all.
Yours faithfully,
John Da Silva
