Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson yesterday sentenced an abusive man to six months imprisonment after he admitted assaulting his reputed wife.

Mark Thomas, an unemployed resident of Lot 194 Charlotte Street, pleaded guilty to the charge of assault causing actual bodily harm when it was read to him at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court yesterday.

The 47-year-old man admitted to the court that on Tuesday he assaulted his reputed wife, Tellicia Lynch, at their Charlotte Street home so as to cause her actual bodily harm.

Thomas was handed a six-month sentence by the Acting Chief Magistrate.
