The Roraima Duke Lodge will launch its Wedding Expo on Friday to showcase all aspects of planning for a wedding, bachelorette and anniversary parties.
According to a press release the expo is being held under the theme ‘Magnificent Beginning’ and will present a number of products and services exclusively for the said occasions. The release said the expo gives potential brides and grooms with the opportunity to meet professional wedding planners, cake makers, designers, decorators, caterers, entertainers, photographers, florists, beverage and other event suppliers. It also provides an opportunity for couples to win special packages, prizes and trips.
The release said the expo has gotten the attention and support of over 10 corporate sponsors and 50 exhibitors. Regional and international groups have also indicated an interest in participating.
The expo will continue for two days following its Friday opening at 5.30 pm. It will be held from 10 am to 10 pm both days. Minister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce Manniram Prashad is expected to declare the event open to the public on Thursday. The ministry is committed to supporting private sector tourism initiatives and challenges other tourism stakeholders to explore new and innovative events, the release said.
