A robbery under arms accused was yesterday not required to plead to the indictable charge when it was read to him by Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.
It is alleged that Dellon Butler on March 8 at Georgetown, being armed with a stick, robbed Rupert Felix Alleyne of one stunt bicycle valued $20,000, one gold ring valued $20,000 and one wristwatch valued $5,000.
The Police Prosecutor asked that bail be denied on the grounds that the offence is a common one. The defendant was subsequently remanded and has to return to court on April 3.
