Following a three-and-a-half-hour practice session at the Everest Cricket Club (ECC) ground yesterday, the junior selection panel of the Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) has short-listed a 34- man squad for two 40 overs-a-side trial matches.
The games will be played today at the Malteenoes Sports Club (MSC) ground and tomorrow at the ECC ground, commencing from 10:30hrs each day. Following this the Georgetown team to participate in the Demerara Cricket Board (DCB) inter-association Under-19 tournament which will commence next Monday will be selected.
The 34-man squad reads: Dexter Solomon, Seon Daniels, Andre Stoll, Kevin Ogle, Totaram Bishun, Amir Khan, Ranole Bourne, Ricardo Devers, Carl Rambharose, Trevon Griffith, Alex Ramalho, Quincy Ovid Richardson, Dayanand Roopnarine, Carlos La Rose, Dellon Fernandes, Rajiv Singh, Kwame Crosse, Winston Forrester, Ryan Rajmangal, Kumal Ramkissoon, Pamindra Ramkissoon, Safraz Esau, Raj Nanan, Javed Rasheed, Daniel Gravesande, Randolph Knights, Joshua Wade, Jahron Byron, Clevon Hyman, Latchman Bissessar, Dwayne McPherson, Marc Nicholson, Stefan Sampson and Daniel Dookie. The above-named players are asked to walk with their birth certificates or passport or some form of age-verification document.
The DCB competition which is being jointly sponsored by German Restaurant and W&H Rambarran Limited will be launched in the boardroom of the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) tomorrow afternoon at 13:00hrs.
