A brutal and exciting innings of 111 not out off 55 balls from wicketkeeper Delbert Hicks led his team Rose Hall Town Windies Sports Bar to victory over Port Mourant in the finals of the Whim Police Station Management team 20/20 tournament.  Playing at the Port Mourant ground before a sizeable crowd, Hicks blasted six sixes and five fours to register his second century in a week, following his 103 against Bermine in the ABS 40 over tournament.

RHTYWSB amassed a massive 185-4 in their allotted 20 overs with Hicks receiving support from former West Indies under-19 captain Andre Percival who made 30 and skipper Renwick Batson 25.

Yogindra Harrinarine took 2-23 bowling for Port Mourant, who reached 163-6 from their 20 overs,  with Pooran Dadidyal scoring 76 with six fours, Devindra Thakurdeen 34 and guest player Imran Khan 28.

Troy Mathieson  3-25 and Ravi Narine 2-32 were the leading wicket takers for the victors who carted off $100,000 and a trophy.

Earlier in the day, RHTYWSB defeated Bermine by 55 runs while Port Mourant who received $50,000 for their runner-up position, squeezed past Police by four wickets, after needing 15 runs off the last over.

Troy Mathieson of RHTYWSB won the best bowler award of the tournament while his teammate Hicks won the man of the finals and best batsman award.

The one-day four-team tournament was organized by the Management Committee of the Whim Police Station to raise funds for the station. Commander of ‘B’ Division  George Vyphuis handed over the prizes and the winning trophy.
