Two toddlers and their mother were injured after being hit by a mini-bus which drove away after the incident at the Farm, Mahaicony public road yesterday afternoon.
Up to last evening the two boys were being treated at the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH). One year-old Malik Nurse sustained head injuries while his twin, Kevon suffered broken legs and abdominal bleeding.
Hospital sources told Stabroek News that about 16:45 yesterday, the children’s mother was pushing them in a pram when they were hit by a mini-bus which drove away. They were taken to the Mahaicony Hospital, where the mother was admitted while the children were transferred to the GPH.
Up to last evening the toddlers were being treated at the medical institution.
